Day 1 | Airport to Anuradhapura

● Overnight stay in Anuradhapura
Anuradhapura is one of the oldest and most sacred cities in Sri Lanka, renowned for its ancient stupas, monasteries, and royal ruins that tell stories of a glorious past. Surrounded by serene lakes and peaceful countryside, it offers an inspiring start to your cultural journey through the island.
Day 2 | Anuradhapura to polonnaruwa Habarana
● Begin the day exploring the ancient wonders of Anuradhapura — visit the sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi (the oldest documented tree in the world), the towering Ruwanwelisaya stupa, and the serene Isurumuniya Viharaya, famous for its exquisite rock carvings.
● Continue your cultural journey to Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital of Sri Lanka and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the ancient marvels of Gal Viharaya, Pothgul Viharaya, Polonnaruwa Vatadage, the majestic Royal Palace of King Parakramabahu I, Rankoth Vehera, Kumara Pokuna (ancient royal bathing pond), Nissanka Latha Mandapaya, Pabalu Vehera, Menik Vehera, and the towering Lankatilaka Temple.
● In the late afternoon, enjoy a thrilling safari at Minneriya National Park, famous for its large herds of wild elephants and rich biodiversity.
● Return to Habarana for your overnight stay.

Anuradhapura, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is considered the cradle of Sinhalese Buddhist civilization and the spiritual heart of Theravada Buddhism for centuries. Its sacred ruins and living heritage stand as a testament to Sri Lanka’s ancient glory. Polonnaruwa, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, showcases the island’s medieval grandeur with its well-preserved palaces, temples, monasteries, and colossal stone sculptures, reflecting the height of Sri Lankan artistry and engineering.
Day 3 | Habarana to Kandy
- Visit the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress (UNESCO World Heritage Site) – a breathtaking 5th-century rock citadel famous for its frescoes, water gardens, and panoramic summit views.
- Explore the Sigiriya Archaeological Museum to learn about the rich history and excavations of this ancient fortress.
- Stop at the mysterious Nalanda Gedige, an ancient stone temple with unique South Indian architecture.
- Discover the Aluviharaya Rock Cave Temple, a sacred site where the Pali Canon was first written down on ola leaf manuscripts.
- Stroll through a Spice and Herbal Garden to learn about Sri Lanka’s famous spices and their traditional uses.
- Witness a vibrant Cultural Dance Show featuring traditional Kandyan dances and drumming.
- End the day with a visit to the sacred Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of the most revered Buddhist temples in the world.
- Overnight stay in Kandy.
Sigiriya Rock Fortress and Palace built by King Kashyapa during the reign of 473 – 495 which is standing majestically 660 feet straight up. Today Sigiriya rock fortress is one of the most famous Archeological Treasure and UNESCO named Sigiriya rock as a World Heritage in 1982 under the name “Ancient City of Sigiriya Sri Lanka”.
Day 4 | Departure
Visit the beautiful Peradeniya Botanical Garden, home to a vast collection of exotic flora and centuries-old trees.
Explore the historic Embekka Dewalaya, renowned for its intricate wooden carvings and cultural heritage.
Discover the ancient Gadaladeniya temple, known for its South Indian–influenced architecture and serene setting.
Stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to witness rescued elephants being cared for, and even see them enjoying their river bath.
Proceed to the airport for your departure flight.
Peradeniya Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful gardens in Sri Lanka, featuring over 4,000 species of plants, while the nearby temples and orphanage showcase the island’s rich cultural and natural heritage—making your final day in Sri Lanka truly memorable.
