Day 6 | Nuwaraeliya to Colombo
- After breakfast, depart from Nuwara Eliya and explore some of the region’s most scenic and historical attractions. Begin with a visit to Sita Mata Kovil (Sita Eliya), a sacred site linked to the ancient Ramayana legends. Continue to Lake Gregory, a picturesque lake surrounded by rolling hills, perfect for a relaxing stroll or a boat ride.
- Next, visit the Hakgala Botanical Garden, home to a wide variety of flora, including exotic flowers, orchids, and rare plants. Discover the Belilena Cave, an archaeological site of great historical significance, revealing evidence of prehistoric human habitation in Sri Lanka.
In the evening, continue your journey to Colombo for your overnight stay.
Day 7 | Departure
Travel to Colombo from your accommodation.

Visit Kelaniya Buddhist Temple (Vibhishana Temple), one of Sri Lanka’s most revered Buddhist sites with a rich history of devotion and art.
The Kelaniya temple holds significance in the Ramayana tradition because it is believed to be the coronation site of King Vibhishana after the defeat of his brother, Ravana. Local legends and folklore suggest Vibhishana, who supported Rama, was crowned king of Lanka in Kelaniya, and he subsequently ruled from there. The temple has a shrine dedicated to Vibhishana, and some murals depict his coronation, linking the site directly to the Ramayana epic.
Transfer to the airport for your onward departure.
